Cody, the kids and I loaded up and headed out to Syracuse this weekend to visit with the Sedlacek's. We got out to the farm late Thursday night, just in time to get the kids down, visit a bit and go to sleep. Friday was spent checking out the farm equipment (Luke & Daddy's favorite thing), visiting Chuckie & Betsy who just had their first baby two weeks ago (Zoey, you are beautiful), eating and getting to visit with Curt. Saturday took us into town to the local thrift store where we found some nice clothes, a trip to the veteran's memorial they had in town and visiting with Chad & Sam. Later that night we went to Gretna for Bill & Mary Ellen's 45th Wedding Anniversary. It was a wonderful event with lots of people, food and polka dancing. :) They are in a troupe that travels around and they could kick my butt on the dance floor any day. :) We did participate in the Chicken Dance, Hokey Pokey and a few other songs where we threw ourselves around the dance floor in time with the music. Joe and I have created the first ever (o.k. probably not) one step dance...that is very easy to learn and looks good too. :) Luke and Charlotte kept Papa Joe, Grandma, Daddy, Mommy, Uncle Chad & Uncle Clint busy on the dance floor too. :) It was a wonderful time and the best part was seeing how happy they were after 45 years of marriage. )
